Please follow instructions below, relevant to your computer system BEFORE clicking this button to connect to the New Staff Remote Desktop service.

Using this service - Read before first use

    The new service is now the live service. A client needs to be installed on your computer before the 'Connect to Staff Remote Desktop' button will direct and connect you successfully. See the instructions above on how to install the client.

    If you are using a Managed Desktop workstation there is no need to install a client, as it is already installed. All users will need to configure their preferences.

    The new service gives a more stable connection (bypassing problems some staff have had using Java) and can also be used with more devices.

    24-7 IT Help is available by phone on +44 (0)114 225 3333 to support use of IT at SHU, including accessing systems when you are off-campus. You can also email ithelp@shu.ac.uk. This mailbox is managed during office hours.
